Today we started reviewing what we know about angles. Kids remembered that there are kinds of angles called acute, obtuse and right angles. They recalled that a circle has 360 degrees in it. We then used this information to start finding the degrees of angles in regular shapes without the use of a protractor!
A homework page did not go home today, but you can ask your child to find angles around the house and identify if they are acute, obtuse or right angles.
In Reading, students wrote an opinion paragraph on Juvenile Boot Camps that ties in with the plot of the book Holes. I am really impressed with the paragraphs I've read so far! Ask them what their opinion is on this topic and why!
